Podcast encourages expression
After hearing of a group of senior boys who create a podcast in a closet in the English building, I decided to create a video to inform the student body. The Writing Center Podcast seeks to inform viewers of their opinions on topics, including Jeff Bezos and events in their everyday lives. This video holds human interest and proximity, as they are sharing what they love with fellow members of the student body. |

Do or DIY: How to make a seasonal fruit dessert
Inspired by Buzzfeed's tasty videos, I decided to make one to share my love of baking with my peers. A lot of students do not realize how easy it is to make desserts that seem complex. As I began creating this video, I realized I forgot to grab a tripod to stabilize the camera, so I made a makeshift one with boxes and cookbooks. The process of creating this video included me shooting different angles, superimposing text on clips and editing the film. |

Flag Football Aurasma: Each sport beat in the 2017 Legend required the staffer to make an Aurasma video. The Aurasma app linked videos to images published in the book. This video was significant in my career as a journalist, as it was the first time I used Final Cut Pro. It also taught me about audibly recording interviews and how to capture the story and capture the human element of the season.

livestreaming sport events:
BoonePubs livestreams sporting events. I aided with the set-up and break down of equipment. I also ran the camera while Parker Fluke, sports media manager, commentated on the games.
